2004 Anheuser-Busch Corporation - In 2004, Anheuser Busch Amusement Park decided to reinstate their coin-operated amusement program. They called upon Skee-Ball, Inc. to provide and arrange for the entire revitalization program
2004 Playworld, Panama - In 2004, Skee-Ball, Inc., provided a complete turnkey operation for Playworld Park in Panama. Skee-Ball consultants sat with the Park's architects and helped to design the entire layout for the park. Also, Skee-Ball was responsible for purchasing and outfitting the park with the most profitable equipment; from games and bumper cars, to the roller coaster.
2001-2004 Six Flags Corporation - Beginning in 2001 and continuing today, Six Flags Corporation aggressively updated the game offerings at 18 of their US Parks and 5 of their locations in Europe. During this time, Skee-Ball, Inc. has provided Game Fixtures and Installation Services as well as design services. We look forward to working closely with Six Flags in 2005 and beyond.
2003-2004 Dave and Buster's - During both 2003 and 2004, Skee-Ball manufactured and installed the Big One Crane for every Dave & Buster's location.
2003 Dave and Buster's - Skee-Ball, Inc. engineered, produced, and installed an automated feature for the Derby Downs Horse Race Game. This innovative feature has allowed Dave & Buster's to save a substantial amount of labor dollars, while at the same time not hampering the revenue intake. The success of this project has led to additional projects that will be announced in the near future.
2002-2003 Xetulul Water Park - Between the years 2002-2003, Skee-Ball provided services and game equipment for the largest Amusement Park in Guatemala.
2002 Lerma, Mexico - In 2002, Skee-Ball, Inc. was contracted to outfit the entire 2500 Sq. Meter indoor/outdoor Family Entertainment Center.
2002 Skee-Ball / Elaut Amusement Games - In 2002 Skee-Ball announced the advent of a new business relationship with Elaut N.V. manufacturer of instant win amusement games, specializing primarily in cranes. This business relationship between these partners resulted in a new company being formed, Skee-Ball / Elaut Amusement Games LLC.
Under the partnership, Skee-Ball, Inc's responsibility was to manufacture Elaut cranes in the United States. Skee-Ball / Elaut Amusement Games LLC then distributed and sold the quality crane product line in North and South America while Elaut N.V. continued to handle Western and Eastern Europe.
2001 Dave and Buster's - During 2001, Skee-Ball outfitted ever Dave & Buster's location with the interactive, large-scale basketball game, Nothin' But Net.
2000 Jazzland Theme Park - New Orleans, Louisiana - Skee-Ball, Inc. was contracted by Ogden Entertainment, Inc. to design and produce a turnkey midway games operation for the new park. Twenty custom fixtures were produced and installed for the New Theme Park.
1999 Walibi- Bellewaerde Park - Leper, Belgium - Due to the growing success of midway operations in Europe, Walibi Bellewaerde, owned by Premier Parks, contracted Skee-Ball, Inc. to produce and install seven midway games with cash control and multiple coin-operated games for implementation into the 1999 park season. Initial reports indicated that revenues for the midway exceeded expectations.
1999 Walibi- Wavre Park - Wavre, Belgium - Skee-Ball, Inc. was contracted to develop an "American Style" midway program for Walibi Wavre Park, owned by Premier Parks. Production and installation of eight attractions were implemented for the 1999 season. Continued program expansion is scheduled for 2000.
1999 Gameworks Entertainment Centers - Gameworks contracted Skee-Ball, Inc. to develop and install high profile marquee sports attraction games for their centers. After initial success of the custom games, Skee-Ball, Inc. was awarded the contract to develop custom sports games for four additional locations through 2000.
1998 Visionland - Birmingham, Alabama - In conjunction with a leading manufacturer of Group Race Games, Skee-Ball, Inc. assisted with the design, game selection, and installation of this new park's Midway and Redemption Games. The games have proven to be a great success at Visionland.
1997 Isla Magica - Sevilla, Spain - This new park, which was placed on the site of a previous World's Fair, utilized Skee-Ball's knowledge to install a turnkey games operation. The contract was awarded based upon the quality work provided to Port Aventura.
1996 Pacific Park - Santa Monica, California - As part of the rebirth of the Santa Monica Pier, Skee-Ball was contracted to provide a turnkey midway games operation. We assisted the Pacific Park architects with all design aspects of the games building, supplied 11 games with our cash control system, and implemented a full-scale management-consulting program. The results have far exceeded projections.
1995 Port Europa - Japan - A MCA/Universal Studios project utilized Skee-Ball's services for development of a minor midway operation. Skee-Ball provided game selection along with recommended rules, and budgetary guidelines for a five game operation, complete with cash collection equipment. Latest reports evidenced revenue performance in excess of two time expectations.
1995 Port Aventura - Salou, Spain - As part of the development and construction of a new major theme park, 70 miles south of Barcelona, Skee-Ball was employed to provide all site and game designs, game selection and installation, and pertinent management and administrative support. The scope of the project included 17 midway games, as part of a western themed area. Skee-Ball management supported the budgeting, procedural and guideline development, and initial merchandise selection. Year-end results far exceeded park expectations. The Tussauds Group, owners of Port Aventura, is working with Skee-Ball, Inc. on future projects.
1994 Thorpe Park - London, England - Due to the growing success of midway operations being patterned after the reformed Blackpool Pleasure Beach Operation, Skee-Ball was employed to evaluate and make recommendations for Thorpe Parks existing operation. Eight new games were added to the program in concert with a new design. New processes, standards, and guidelines were implemented, similar to those of Blackpool, to insure the operational success. Year-end financials exceeded park expectations.
1994 Holiday Park - Hasseloch, Germany - As an experiment, Holiday Park contracted Skee-Ball to design, select, install and establish management processes and standards for an "American Style" Midway operation. The six game operations exceeded the German operator's expectations by 100 percent.
1993 Ocean Park - Hong Kong - As contracted by Expo Souvenir, the retail lessee at Ocean Park, Skee-Ball identified the sites, designed, installed, and provided management support for a 12 game Midway operation that was the first "American Style" operation in Hong Kong. The projects led to a Phase II expansion in 1994.
1993 Butlins Holiday Park - Minehead, United Kingdom - Skee-Ball, Inc. was contracted to design, select, install, and provide management support to a 10 game Midway operation for the Butlins Minehead operation. The success of the operation led to the installation of similar midway operations at other Butlins operations throughout the United Kingdom.
1992 Fiesta Texas - San Antonio, Texas - In November 1991, Vari -Tech International signed an equipment and service contract with Fiesta Texas, a new theme park in San Antonio, Texas. Vari-Tech provided over forty Midway style games, redemption equipment for two locations, a cash control system, management support, and complete installation services for the grand opening in March 1992. Vari-Tech was awarded the contract following a thorough bidding process with other manufactures. The results of the bidding went in Vari-Tech's favor due to the experience, talent, and skills displayed in previous projects.
1992 Reino Aventura - Mexico City, Mexico - In January of 1992, Vari-Tech was contracted by Reino Aventura, an Amusement Park located in Mexico City, to participate in a major renovation and remodeling project for the park. Vari-Tech provided over 20 Midway style games, redemption equipment for three locations, a complete cash control system, and installation of all of the games. A management support program was implemented during which Vari-Tech personnel directed the operation of the Games Department for a period of three months.
1992 Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Blackpool, England - Vari-Tech was contracted to completely redevelop the existing Blackpool Games Program. New games were added to the existing game selection. Complete management services were provided, including game rules, operating guidelines, and cash control procedures. The results of the project were extremely successful, with game revenues up nearly 200 percent from the previous year. In 1993, Skee-Ball was contracted to advise Blackpool on all pre-opening activities and provide additional management support.
1992 Chessington World of Adventures - Chessington, England - A combination of Redemption and Midway Games were added to the traditional arcade already operated by Chessington. Vari-Tech International, now a division of Skee-Ball, Inc. supplied the majority of the games and operational support throughout the first season. The project resulted in a 34 percent increase in game revenues over the previous year.
1990 Queen Mary/Spruce Goose - Long Beach, California - Based upon their familiarity with the Disneyland projects, Vari-Tech was contracted to provide and install seven Midway games as part of the Brighton Carnival Event. Management and administrative support similar to the other Disney project was also provided.
1990 Great Escape - Lake George, New York - Vari-Tech was contracted to evaluate, provide limited upgrading, and directly manage the Games Department for the 1990 season. Despite the fact that attendance was down 5 percent from prior year, department profitability increased 7 percent. We were invited back for the 1991 season to train a permanent Games Manager.
1989 Dollywood Operation - Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - In January of 1989, Vari-Tech was contracted by Dollywood as the Midway Games Lessee for the 1989-1991 seasons. As part of the project, Vari-Tech provided new facilities and rehabbed the existing games buildings. Fourteen new games, complete with cash control, were installed and the existing Skee-Ball machines were renovated to new condition.
All host/hostess personnel, as well as the management, were Vari-Tech employees. Operational readiness was achieved by opening day. Due to the financial success of the 1989 operating season, Dollywood exercised its buyout option after the first year.
1989 Universal Studios - Hollywood, California - A similar program to that of the 1987-1988 Disneyland projects was provided for Universal Studios. Sixteen games, cash control, and tent housing were installed for the summer. Complete management and administrative support were also provided. Though originally contracted as a lease, Universal purchased the games at the end of the event.
